Yes, before becoming a footballer, Alphonso Davies tried to find a job at a McDonald's. He didn't get a call back after the interview and the rest is history. Davies told the story in a video on the Youtube channel he has with his girlfriend and PSG player Jordyn Huitema.

Imagine this, you get hungry at lunch or dinner time, you go to your local McDonald's and when you go to order a cheeseburger - or a salad - you find that you are being served by Alphonso Davies.

Of course, if this happened he wouldn't have been a footballer, but just another Canadian working to earn a living. He told the story in a video on the Youtube channel he has with PSG player Jordyn Huitema, who is also his partner, about the time that the fast-food chain rejected him.

"McDonald's, if you are watching this, I applied for a job in one of your restaurants. You didn't call me back, guys," said the player. His statements did not go unnoticed in the comments, or on social media, or on the FIFA website.

Whatever his past, any football fan will be glad he didn't get a callback, as he is currently one of the best left-backs in the world. He made his name at Bayern Munich where he went from a secondary player to a key part of the first team.
