David James 'frustrated' with Onana's performances at Man United

Andre Onana is entering his second season with Manchester United, however, he does not seem to have found the right footing at Old Trafford since his £47million move from Inter Milan.The Cameroon goalkeeper has had a difficult first season, with several major errors, which costed United goals and, at times, games.

That said, his second spell has started on a brighter note, as he saved a penalty in the 3-0 win over Southampton in matchday 4. Nonetheless, former England goalkeeper David James has not been impressed with the Man United stopper, but rather "frustrated" with his lack of contributions to the team. 

"I'm frustrated with what Onana has brought to the club since he joined from Inter Milan," James told 'Safest Casino Sites'. "When he signed from Inter, I was expecting him to have a transformative effect on the way that Manchester United play. I wanted him to bring that ball-playing ability to the team, that passing range," he reveals on his initial expectations from the goalkeeper.

"For whatever reason, Andre Onana hasn’t been the best version of himself since he joined the club and that’s disappointing. They wanted a keeper who was good with his feet and could pick pinpoint passes over long distances, because that brings variety to your play. That is what Onana is capable of, and we haven’t seen it at United."

James admits that his inability to comprehend Onana's poor perfomances, have led him to question whether manager Ten Hag and coaching staff could partly be blamed for the player's inexplicable downfall. "You always look at the individual first and wonder why they’re not performing. Is the problem Erik ten Hag and his coaching staff? It doesn’t make sense that he’s not doing the things that United signed him for when he pulls on the shirt," he concluded.
