Cristiano Ronaldo is heading onto the home stretch of the season with three goals in mind: be the LaLiga top goalscorer, break the record for the most consecutive scoring games, beat Zarra's record in Madrid-Bilbao clashes.

The legendary No. 7's season didn't get off to a flying start, failing to live up to his history of brutal goalscoring prowess

After a forgettable start, the Portuguese striker rediscovered his form in the Champions League and returned to La Liga as hungry as ever and determined to challenge rival Lionel Messi for the title of 'Pichichi.'

In the first half of the season, Cristiano had just four goals to his name. The second half has been a totally different story. With 19 goals, he's vastly outscored the Argentinian. Messi, however still leads Ronaldo with 29 goals with Barca in the league so far this season.

In addition to the race for the 'Pichichi,' Ronaldo has benefitted from the rests his manager Zinedine Zidane has given him, which have allowed him to attack each game with fresh legs. He is now looking to beat his record of successive scoring games: 11 - seven in La Liga and four in the Champions League.

Tonight, Real Madrid face Athletic Bilbao, and Cristiano will be looking to extend his impressive goalscoring record against the Basque club. He's now hoping to beat the record of Spanish football legend Zarra who has 16 goals in fixtures between the two sides.

Going into the tie in formidable form, Ronaldo will no doubt attack Kepa's goal relentlessly. The stage is set for Ronaldo to keep firing and boost his tally ahead of Real's Champions League semi-final with Bayern Munich.
