Cristiano Ronaldo has become the most followed person on the social network Instagram.
The Juventus forward overtook pop star Selena Gomez on Monday, dethroning the singer.
Ronaldo posts regularly on his account, with 2,380 posts at the time of writing.
Gomez is less active, with a mere 1,468 posts, the most recent coming over a month ago.
Ronaldo has enjoyed a fine spell of form in recent weeks for Juventus, with seven goals and four assists to his name in 10 league appearances so far.
Gomez had held the title since 2016, when she overtook Ariana Grande.
