Man Utd lost by one goal against Aston Villa, but the final result could have been a draw had Bruno Fernandes scored the 93rd minute penalty. Cristiano Ronaldo was on the pitch but didn't take it.

Normally, Cristiano Ronaldo takes the penalties for teams he plays for, but that did not happen in Man Utd's loss to Aston Villa. Bruno Fernandes missed his spot kick from 12 yards.

Aston Villa had taken a shock lead in the matchday six clash. They defended well when Man Utd were on top and they took their chance to take the three points at Old Trafford.

Villa's goal came in the 88th minute with a perfect header from Douglas Luiz's corner. Solskjaer's side were erratic and not at the top of their game and the penalty at the end was an example of that.

Three minutes after the 0-1 goal, Hause committed a handball in the box and the referee pointed to the spot. It was a clear chance for United to take home a point.

However, Cristiano took a step to one side, Bruno Fernandes took responsibility and the Portuguese blazed the penalty over the crossbar much to the Old Trafford crowd's amazement.

Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez also played mind games with the player and he told Cristiano "you take the penalty, you take the penalty!" If only Ronaldo had listened to him.
