When he was replaced against Barcelona, he was insulted by Barca fans. There was a supporter who called him "macaco" (monkey) and the player responded with a gesture. One programme showed the whole incident while another one on the same channel omitted the insult. 'Movistar+' have apologised.

Human error or clear manipulation? It depends on who you ask. 'Movistar+'s cameras perfectly caught the insult hurled at Vinicius and his reaction. However, in another programme, the insult was cut out and only the reaction was shown.

While on 'Vamos' the whole sequence was shown (Vinicius goes down the touchline and a father and his son go down to the first row to show him the middle finger and call him a "monkey", and Vinicius turns around pointing at the kid, on the programme 'El Dia Despues', the insult was omitted.

Whether it was a mistake, as presenter Alvaro Benito claims or done deliberately, the truth is that it is completely without the racist insult included.

In the sequence shown by 'El Dia Despues', you can see Vinicius looking like he is angry with the kid when he was actually tell the child's father about the insult.

It went viral on Wednesday and the channel apologised via Alvaro Benito.
