  • 93'
FT: Chelsea 3-0 Dynamo Kiev. A last minute goal from Callum Hudson-Odoi gives Chelsea a convincing lead going into the second-leg to be contested in Kiev. The win is unsurprising as Chelsea dominated while Kiev failed to threaten Kepa's goal. A fine performance from Sarri's men at home!
  • 90'
Three minutes of added time at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea can relax now.

GOOOOAAAAALLLL CHELSEA! A delicious team goal as Pedro curled a ball into Loftus-Cheek with pinpoint accuracy who then layed it off to Callum Hudson-Odoi. The Englishman slotted it past Boyko for Chelsea's third! Done and dusted for this first-leg!

Hudson-Odoi charges down the left channel for Chelsea but his cross is behind Pedro in the box who subsequently slips.
  • 85'
Out of nowhere, Kiev have found some form in the last few minutes after a flurry of shots one after the other. The clearest came as Sidcley attemped to divert the cross goalwards. It wouldn't have counted though as he was miles offside.

Substitution Chelsea - Willian's night comes to a close and he can be proud of his effort to give Chelsea the advantage going into the second-leg. Callum Hudson-Odoi replaces him.
  • 76'
CHANCE KIEV - the visitors kiss goodbye to their best chance of the evening as poor touches mean Rusyn's final effort is weak and lands safely in the hands of Kepa.
  • 74'
Kiev enjoy a brief spell of possession which culminates in a Sydorchuk shot from way out. It's very hopeful and Kepa, who has had nothing to do all game, lets it fly over his crossbar.

A defensive miscommunication for Chelsea after Jorginho passes the ball out of play and hands possession to Kiev. It doesn't take long for Chelsea to claim it back though.
  • 48'
Much like the first-half, it is Chelsea who have found their groove and Kiev aren't seeing much of the ball at the moment.
  • 45'
We're back underway for the second-half! Can Chelsea extend their lead or will Kiev equalise to really set this game alive?
  • 45'
HT: Chelsea 1-0 Dynamo Kiev. That's it for the first-half action after Pedro netted the only goal of the half to put Chelsea ahead at home. Kiev's keeper, Boyko, deserves just as much praise for some stellar saves keeping his side right in the mix at Stamford Bridge! We're anticipating a tense second-half...stay tuned!
  • 45'
One minute added at the end of this first-half!
  • 45'
Pedro again in the box, releases a shot but Boyko is right behind it, again!
  • 43'
A slight miscommunication between Kovacic and Christensen as both go to clear the same ball. After a clash of heads, it looks as though Kovacic has come off worse.
  • 41'
Buyalsky goes into the book for his challenge on Kovacic. He will therefore miss the return leg in Kiev.
  • 40'
Kiev are doing really well to keep Chelsea's unrelenting attacks at bay. Can the Blues find a gap?

  • 33'
Having said that, Kedziora puts a cross in for the visitors but it's too high and Chelsea defend for the corner.
  • 32'
After conceding the goal, Kiev haven't been able to create many chances of their own as they are all back to defend.
  • 30'
Chelsea might have had a penalty after Pedro was shoved to the floor in the box by Kedziora but the referee waves play on.
  • 29'
Kovacic lofts one over the defence for Higuain to chase but he runs out of space and the ball goes for a corner.
