Chelsea have allowed Diego Costa to miss their pre-season tour so that he can negotiate his exit. Conte doesn't want the striker, and the Blues have narrowed their search for an alternative down to three strikers.

Alvaro Morata

Chelsea's main objective after Lukaku joined Manchester United. Conte is very fond of the Real Madrid man, but his fee is an issue which stands in the way of his exit from the Spanish club. In fact, Real Madrid already turned down a tempting offer from the Red Devils. Chelsea are reported to have offered £70m for the Spaniard. We will see if Florentino Perez gives in and Chelsea get their top target to lead the line.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

The Gabon intenational seems destined to leave Dortmund this summer, and Stamford Bridge is his favoured destination. The German club offered the striker to the Blues, who have prepared a £70m bid for the 28-year-old. The difficulty surrounding the move for Morata prompted Conte to turn his attentions to the last year's top scorer in the Bundesliga.

Gonzalo Higuain

A new name has emerged recently and is now part of what initially looked like a two-horse race. Juventus are not prepared to let their striker go, but the transfer window is long and anything is possible for the right amount of money. The Argentine is Chelsea's 'Plan C'.
