A contract extension is reportedly on the table but the German's ambitious wages and desire to play at the highest level may see him leave for free in the summer. After a series of injury troubles, Jack Wilshere is a glimmer of sunlight in an otherwise gloomy Emirates. The 26-year-old has returned recently to regular football and is an exciting prospect for Arsenal fans if he can put his fitness woes behind him. A new deal to keep him at the club is in the making.
Arsenal need new faces in the January transfer window, not only because they could potentially lose their two biggest stars, but to ease their supporters' frustrations. Theo Walcott is set to leave after 12 seasons and a potential man to bolster the front line is Dortmund's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The Gabon international, who would reportedly cost in the region of £53million, could relieve the Gunners of the current sense of chaos which has taken over the Emirates.
