Turbulence in north London. Arsene Wenger is under intense pressure due to recent defeats and uncertainty over key figures improve the current situation at Arsenal.

Defeat at Bournemouth on Sunday summed up Arsenal's troubles this season, with the Gunners struggling to climb into Champions League places and their defence of the FA Cup already over.

A growing section of the crowd want to see Arsene Wenger gone and the Frenchman may have to accept that Arsenal need to look beyond his tenure as they make long-term plans for the future. The transfer window doesn't help, with the Gunners looking as lethargic as ever. Star names are going out the door and doubts continue to increase over whether anyone is coming in to replace them.

Alexis Sanchez, whose contract ends in the summer, is keen to leave the club in January. After Manchester City withdrew their interest, rivals United appear to be in pole position for the Chilean, with Arsenal looking to get some sort of financial return to invest the proceeds wisely. After deciding not to sell the forward in the summer, the Gunners will have to settle for a lower fee than that offered by Pep Guardiola's side a few months ago.

Sanchez isn't the only wantaway star in Wenger's side, with Mesut Ozil's wish to exit the club slightly overshadowed by his team-mate's ongoing saga. A contract extension is reportedly on the table but the German's ambitious wages and desire to play at the highest level may see him leave for free in the summer. After a series of injury troubles, Jack Wilshere is a glimmer of sunlight in an otherwise gloomy Emirates. The 26-year-old has returned recently to regular football and is an exciting prospect for Arsenal fans if he can put his fitness woes behind him. A new deal to keep him at the club is in the making.

Arsenal need new faces in the January transfer window, not only because they could potentially lose their two biggest stars, but to ease their supporters' frustrations. Theo Walcott is set to leave after 12 seasons and a potential man to bolster the front line is Dortmund's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The Gabon international, who would reportedly cost in the region of £53million, could relieve the Gunners of the current sense of chaos which has taken over the Emirates.
