Bournemouth have a new player in their ranks. The English club have announced the signing of 27 year old centremidfielder, Joe Rothwell. He has signed a four year deal after arriving from Blackburn as a free agent.
AFC Bournemouth have announced the signing of English midfielder, Joe Rothwell. He has signed a four year deal with his new team which will see him on the South Coast until 30th June 2026.
The 27 year old comes at no cost to Bournemouth after him completing his contract with Blackburn Rovers. He appeared in 161 official matches for Blackburn and after four years at the club, he has decided to move on.
Developed in Manchester United's academy, Rothwell left Old Trafford without being given the chance to fulfill his dream of appearing for the club in a Premier League match. During the 2016/17 and 2017/18, he was seen in Oxford United colours. He appeared 86 times for club, scoring eight goals.
