Manchester City have announced that Bernardo Silva, one of the club's star players under Pep Guardiola this season, has extended his contract until 2025.
Manchester City have announced that Bernardo Silva, one of the club's star players under Pep Guardiola this season, has extended his contract until 2025.
In his first two campaigns in England the midfielder has already won two Carabao Cups and a Premier League title, as well as racking up an impressive 93 appearances in all competitions.
"It's an honour for me, this club has given me everything as a player to realise my ambitions," said Bernardo Silva, who arrived from Monaco in 2017. "There is no other place I'd want to be."
"As soon as I heard that City wanted me to be here for longer I had made up my mind. I love the club, the manager, the players and the fans", he added.
The club's Director of Football Tciki Begiristain commented that Bernardo Silva is "an exceptional talent" and that he was very happy that the midfielder would be spending "the best years of his career" at the club.
