Foden scored the only goal of the game as City beat Spurs 1-0. EFE.

Foden scored his first ever Premier League goal to keep City's title destiny in their own hands, but it was fellow attacking midfielder Silva who was picked by Sky Sports as man of the match.

Speaking to Geoff Shreeves after the game, Foden was handed the award to pass over to Bernardo Silva, but the Portuguese midfielder refused to take it, saying:

"No, I would like to hand it over to Phil because I honestly think he deserves it.

"He's so young, he's a fantastic player and this one's for you. He scored the winner, so congraulations."

Foden initially refused to accept the award, saying: 'No, no, no.' But he eventually accepted his team-mate's gift and said: 'Thank you'.
