Theo Walcott claimed that Bayern Munich will not be looking forward to facing Arsenal in the Champions League, after many labelled the Gunners' Champions League draw as a nightmare.

The Gunners were knocked out at the last 16 stage of the Champions League by Bayern Munich in the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons, and many are expecting history to repeat itself when they face the Bavarian side once again in the competition.

While many Arsenal fans are dreading the thought of playing Carlo Ancelotti's side in the competition, Theo Walcott insists that Bayern will not be keen on facing the Gunners, who find themselves in second place in the Premier League.

"You've got to face the best teams in the Champions League," he said. "They won't want to play Arsenal.

"I'm not going to lie when I say that it's going to be a very difficult game, we know how hard it's going to be.

"We've just got to look at ourselves and think how we've improved this season compared to the seasons we've played them recently. We lost 5-1 at their place last season, we can't be doing stuff like that. We're a lot more resilient this year.

"I can't really see that happening. We're a lot more focused and dedicated. Who knows? We'll see, but we'll give them a good game, definitely".
