Reports in Spain claim that la Liga leaders Barcelona are preparing to send a delegation to Brazil as they look to speed up their January transfer dealings.

Spanish publication 'Sport' claims that the Catalan side are preparing to send several senior club officials out to South America as they look to accelerate two January moves.

The names of the players in question will come as little surprise, with Gremio's Arthur Melo and Palmeiras' Yerry Mina Barca's targets.

The deal to bring the former to the Camp Nou is the more pressing of the two, with several other top European sides thought to be keeping a close eye on the playmaker, who has drawn comparisons with Barca legend Andres Iniesta.

Arthur is currently nursing an injury that has prevented him from featuring in the Club World Cup, something which has relaxed Barca as it means that he will not be in the shop window during Saturday's final against Real Madrid.

According to the aforementioned source, Barca will pay around €25m for the youngster.

Defender Mina is the other target for technical secretary Robert Fernandez, with the 'Blaugrana' side ready to bring the signing forward, having previously pencilled the player in for a summer switch.
