Barcelona and Sergi Roberto, one of the captains, will start negotiating again after the first talks to extend his contract didn't work out a deal that suited both parties.

Barcelona and Sergi Roberto stopped the talks about the Spanish contract extension. The new deal includes a significant salary cut as well as other sacrifices.

Everything was going well, but the negotiations hit a dead end a couple of days ago. The talks got tense and both the club and the player decided to stop them. Now they will open talks and start the negotiations all over again.

According to 'Marca', the talks over a new contract will start again in two weeks and they will start from scratch. The negotiations stopped last time when Barcelona asked Roberto to reduce his salary by 50%

Another disagreement both parties had was the timing to pay the unpaid wages owed to Sergi Roberto, as Barcelona wanted to pay them over the longest period of time possible.

Sergi Roberto wants to stay and Barça also wants to keep 'La Masia' product. Both parties will most likely reach an agreement, however, Barça will end up paying a little bit more than what they hoped to.
