There has not been the slightest breakthrough in negotiations between Barcelona and Manchester City over Eric Garcia in the last few weeks, despìte Barca's best efforts.
The latest offer, of 15 million euros, was flat out ignored because although his current market value is barely 10 million, the player's progression suggests he could soon be worth much more.
The summer transfer market has entered into its final stretch, and it seems very unlikely that the deal will move forward. Many factors would have to change.
To begin with, Barcelona would have to increase their offer even more, which is made difficult by the fact that they have already paid 21 million for Dest (although they did get 30 million for Nélson Semedo).
