Cesar Azpilicueta, Chelsea captain, tested positive before Chelsea's match against Southampton on Saturday. This meant he missed the match and is a serious doubt for the second leg of the Blues' Champions League quarter final clash at the Bernabeu on Tuesday.

Cesar Azpilicueta, Chelsea captain, has returned a positive COVID test. This means his participation in Chelsea's all important Champions League quarter final second leg against Real Madrid on Tuesday night is in real doubt.

According to his manager, Thomas Tuchel, the right back tested positive before Chelsea's match against Southampton this Saturday.

Azpilicueta started the first leg defeat (1-3) on Wednesday against 'Los Blancos'. He played on the left hand side, which meant Marcos Alonso was dropped to the bench.

Romelu Lukaku was another player not to feature against Southampton. The Belgian striker is injured. However, the details of what exactly he is suffering from are unknown.
