Atletico reportedly in talks with Willian

Despite reportedly almost making the switch, the Uruguayan ended up staying in France. Now, 'TMW' has learned that the Atletico board of directors has gotten in touch with Chelsea's Willian as a possible replacement.
The mentioned media speaks of a meeting at the end of January between the directors and an intermediary to talk about the possibility of signing the Brazilian midfielder.
Furthermore, Atletico reportedly offered the player a first contract, which he neither refused nor accepted. For the moment, William is aware that such a move would be a step in the right direction, considering he is 31.
Chelsea, meanwhile, continue to fight to reach an agreement with Willian for a contract renewal. "I've been offered two years and they won't change their proposal. I've told them I want three," Willian told Esporte Interativo.
So far this season, the player has played 34 games and has scored five goals and five assists, and but he could be going for free this summer if he does not renew with the Stamford Bridge club.
