Rodrigo de Paul is on the list of Atletico Madrid's targets for the 2021-22 season. The first Atletico Madrid offer was not good enough for Udinese, who turned it down. According to 'Goal' journalist Ruben Uria, Atletico are thinking of upping it considerably.

The market is long and it has not done anything other than start. Atletico Madrid think that De Paul's signing will take its time and they are willing to fight until the very end for it.

Atletico offered Udinese 20 million euros for the midfielder. The Italian club turned it down. De Paul's contract expires in 2024.

The La Liga club will not given up though. According to 'Goal' journalist Ruben Uria, Atletico will make another offer shortly. Now they will put in an offer of 28 million euros, eight more than the first time.

They are trying to get Udinese to lower their financial demands. The Serie A outfit want around 40 million euros

Despite the fact Atletico's offer of 28 million euros is a long way off the 40 million Udinese want, 'Goal' says Atleti are optimistic. They believe there is still time to persuade the Italians.

However, Atletico are aware that they cannot rest on their laurels. AC Milan are also interested in Rodrigo De Paul.
