Juventus' ex-sporting director, Luciano Moggi, assessed the signing of Arthur Melo. If it had been up to him, he told 'Radio Bianconera', he would have kept Miralem Pjanic, whom he considers the better player.

Barcelona and Juventus did a swap. They agreed the exchange of Arthur and Pjanic.

For Moggi, Juventus made a mistake. "I preferred Pjanic... I don't like to say if the club did well or not. If Juve sign him, it means he's doing well, but for me, Pjanic is much more useful on a technical level", he analysed on 'Radio Bianconera'.

The ex-sporting director thinks that if Arthur is in Turin it's because Sarri wanted him. "Obviously, it's a request made by the manager", he opined.

He thinks that Arthur has potential, although also shortcomings. "Arthur's good... but slow. I don't think he's coming to Juve to be a starter, he doesn't improve the level of those that there are right now. Possibly, he'll be a sub", he ended.

Arthur will land in Turin on Monday. He will start his journey as a Juventus player there.
