Mikel Arteta spoke to the media in the press room after Arsenal's 2-0 win over Tottenham in the Premier League to review his side's great performance in their opponents' stadium.
"I loved the way we played and the courage we showed in a stadium like this. We have taken another step on our way to the title. By doing our job, we can make a lot of people happy. We won last season in big stadiums, but the way we won tonight was wonderful," said the Spanish coach.
He added: "It not only shows determination and courage, but you have to have the confidence and the quality to do it against this team. That absolutely depends on the players. We were very aggressive and we were very intense against high pressure. They created a few chances for us, but we did a great job."
Arteta also made no secret of the fact that the Gunners' aim is to improve the squad in the winter transfer window: "I'm very proud to have the players we have, but we always want to try to improve the squad. We have excellent players. We want to improve our squad in this transfer window. We are working on that, but we will do the deals that we can do and that we think are right for the club. We have to have some discipline and be consistent in the targets we have. We can make players better, let's focus on that."
