It's not 2004 but this Arsenal are 'The Invincibles'

Arsenal are on fire. The Emirates Stadium side take three golden points away to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after beating Spurs 0-2 in another great performance from Arteta's side, who sit top on 47 points.

During the first half the Gunners were in control, keeping possession and winning the ball back quickly thanks to good pressing which made it difficult for Tottenham to connect several passes in a row.

Arteta's side took the lead in the 14th minute in an unexpected way for Spurs. Partey found Saka with space on the right flank. The Englishman drove the ball and once inside the box, squared it to the far post. Lloris tried to parry the ball out but failed to do it and the balls ended up in the net. 

Just ten minutes later Thomas Partey came close to extending the North London side's lead. The defensive midfielder came close to scoring the goal of his life after shooting a 26-yard volley, which, unfortunately for the Ghanaian, hit the far post of Lloris' goal.

However, the Gunners missed once but not twice. Odegaard extended his side's lead in the 36th minute. Saka set up Arsenal's Norwegian captain on the edge of the box for the second goal. The midfielder received the ball and beat Lloris with a shot across the face of goal to the far post.

Tottenham started the second half much better but several incredible saves from Ramsdale prevented Spurs from pulling one back. As a result, Arsenal move eight points clear of Manchester City and Tottenham, who sit fifth, slip further away from the Champions League places after Newcastle and Manchester United took all three points at the weekend.
