There is no doubt that Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus have been two key players in Arsenal's incredible season that fell short of the Premier League title. Both players arrived from Manchester City and Arteta, in an interview with 'Marca', explained why the Gunners sign players from the Sky Blues.

Last summer Arsenal decided to sign two players from Manchester City. Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus swapped the Etihad Stadium for the Emirates Stadium. And it was undoubtedly a good move by the Gunners, as both players were key to the Gunners' incredible season.

Zinchenko made 33 appearances this season, starting 28 of them, scoring one goal and providing two assists. On the other hand, the Brazilian striker also played 33 games this season in which he started 27, scoring 11 goals for the London side.

Emirates Stadium boss Mikel Arteta gave an interview to 'Marca' in which he was asked why they signed two Manchester City players, to which he replied: “Why do we sign players from them? It’s easy — because they are very good, I know them and worked with them for four years.

“I wanted Gabriel Jesus and Zinchenko for their amazing talent but also for their ‘human’ skill," the Spaniard concluded.
