End of match

FT: Arsenal 0-0 Newcastle!! All over at the Emirates and the points are deservedly shared. Arsenal were the better team and had more chances while Newcastle looked to defend and play on the counter. Nketiah could have scored late on while a late penalty appeal for handball was rightly turned down by the officials. As for Newcastle, Joelinton's header right on half-time was easily their best chance, but they'll be very happy with the draw. Thanks for joining us and see you again soon!

  • 95'
Xhaka gets into the box and his cross strikes Murphy, but the ref says no pen!! Arsenal and Arteta are fuming but I think it's no penalty as the ball seems to strike his body. VAR checks it and says play on. I agree with that call.
  • 95'
Arsenal have the ball in Newcastle's half, but I can't see them scoring.
  • 93'
It looks this will end goalless and that would be fair.
  • 91'
Newcastle break through Wood, he's all on goal, but he decides to pass instead of shoot and the pass is cut out! Baffling.
  • 91'
Five extra minutes. Artera wanted more.

Appeals for handball by the Gunners players, but it's not a pen as the ball struck the defender on the chest.

Arsenal get us going once again! No substitutions!
  • 45'
HT: Arsenal 0-0 Newcastle! Half-time at the Emirates and Arsenal have been the better side, but after a strong opening 10, Newcastle have kept the Gunners at bay. Saka has looked sharp and he had a chance early on as did Odegaard while Gabriel also headed wide later on. Newcastle played on the counter and could have led at half-time had Joelinton not headed wide at the far post. All to play for. Back shortly!

Gabriel!! Odegaard's ball in is headed by Gabriel from about 10 yards out and the ball goes wide of Pope's left hand upright!
  • 34'
Odegaard is caught from behind by Joelinton and the foul is awarded 25 yards from goal. The Newcastle man doesn't like the call, but it looks the correct one.

Yet another yellow card. Nketiah this time. I don't think it was enough for a yellow, to be honest.
