Arsenal starlet Emile Smith Rowe hopes to make his Premier League debut this season after scoring in yesterday's International Champions Cup tie against Atletico Madrid.

In an interview with the 'Daily Mail' Smith, who turns 18 tomorrow, revealed his delight.

"It's a dream come true. I still can't believe it. I'll probably go back to my hotel room and think about everything.

"I only found out the day before the squad left for Singapore that I was coming. We had a training session on Saturday and the kit man came up to me and said 'Here's your suitcase, you're travelling.'

Smith, who was only born in the year 2000, scored a fantastic effort to equailise in yesterday's game - however Atletico Madrid eventually won the fixture after a penalty shoot-out.

West Ham midfielder Jack Wilshere described Rowe as "something a little bit special", and the youngster wants to kick on from his pre-season success.

The 17-year old wants to feature in the cups and make his Premier League debut this season.
