Arsenal have made a move for Thomas. The Gunners are willing to splash the cash on the Ghanaian midfielder. 'Sky Sports' say he has been offered triple his salary.
Thomas is not one of the highest paid players at Atletico Madrid and that is what Arsenal will try and use to their advantage to persuade him to move to North London. They will offer him a top salary.
Thomas, whose contract expires in 2023, has a buyout clause of 50 million euros and gets 2.4 million euros a year. At Arsenal, he would get just over 7 million a year.
