According to 'Ok Diario' the deal looks all but wrapped up, and the Portugal international is set to become Los Blancos first signing ahead of the 2016-17 campaign.

According to the stated source, the Champions League winners are confident that Andre Gomes will arrive at the Santiago Bernabeu in the coming days.

It is believed this time what the bid was pushed forward not by Florentino Perez, but by Zinedine Zidane. The French coach is a big fan of the Portuguese midfielder's style of play, believing he would stregthen the team, and could be a great substitute for Luka Modric, who turns 31 in September.

The fee is likely to be around 60 million, which is the sum that Valencia are demanding for their star. However, the price is fairly reasonable seeing as though the player is only 23-years-old and is already a huge talent.

Should Los Blancos confirm the deal, they will have seen off competition from some of Europe's biggest clubs, including Chelsea, Juventus and Barcelona.
