Amrabat: 'We play with our hearts, for the country and the people'
Sofyan Amrabat, one of the leaders of Morocco's World Cup semi-finalists, dedicated the victory over Portugal to all the people of his country.
Morocco midfielder Sofyan Amrabat said that his national team can be champions on Saturday after qualifying for the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup with a 1-0 win over Portugal.
"Yes, why not?," he replied when asked if Morocco can win the title in Qatar 2022, where they will face either France or England in the semi-finals after overcoming "two very difficult games" against Spain in the last 16 and Portugal in the quarter-finals with a 42nd-minute goal scored by Youssef En-Nesyri.
"We are going to prepare very well," the player said of the upcoming match, praising his team's fight and "very good defence" against Portugal.
"It's really incredible! I'm very proud, we deserve this! It's always the same, we fight and play every game with our hearts, for our country and for our people," he concluded.
