The Canadian had a superb match against Chelsea in London. He prevented a certain goal for Chelsea thanks to a great run, he frustrated Jorginho and Mount and assisted for Robert Lewandowski in the 0-3 goal.

One of the positives for Bayern Munich in this season which began inconsistently for them is Alphonso Davies.

Signed as a great young talent from the MLS in January 2019, the Canadian soon began writing history as a Bayern player. Although he was bought as an attacker, Alphonso Davies as become a world class left back.

He has been so spectacular that he has even forced David Alaba out of the left back spot and Flick has had to make the Austrian international play as a centre back.

Against Chelsea, Alphonso Davies was faultless. In defence, he was amazingly quick and showed great understanding of the goal. He got back against all the odds to prevent Mount and Jorginho from having clear chances.

Then, he rounded off his great performance by getting an assist. He assisted for Robert Lewandowski in the 0-3 goal. He showed his physical strength, his quality to go past opponents and his good vision. All of that at just 19.

But this is not the only think the Canadian footballer has done this season. In December, he gave an assist to Lewandowski after running from one box to the other.

And last season, shortly after arriving, he took advantage of one of his few opportunities to become the youngest player to score for Bayern. An amazing start to his career after living in a Liberian refugee camp in Ghana when he was a kid.
