Alexis Sanchez crowned 'The Worst' in parody event
Manchester United duo Alexis Sanchez and Victor Lindelof were among the high-profile footballers panned in Marca's 'The Worst' awards.
The players received the dubious honour of being named the worst forward and worst defender respectively as the Spanish publication ran its own parody of the FIFA 'The Best' awards.
These awards attempted to provide a contrast to the official ceremony, naming players who had underperformed.
Other Premier League stars who were named included Liverpool's on-loan keeper Loris Karius, whose mistakes in the Champions League final cost Liverpool the chance to win the competition.
Mesut Ozil was also named in the worst XI, after an underwhelming year for Arsenal.
Kelechi Iheanacho was selected up front, after a year when the youngster failed to realise his potential.
