Aleix Vidal showed his ugly side after celebrating Alaves' equaliser against Real Madrid. He seemed to taunt Sergio Ramos in the celebration although replays suggested it could have been an offensive Spanish gesture. It was not known if the gesture was aimed towards Ramos or towards a section of the fans.

In the second half, Aleix Vidal taunted Ramos and apparently made an offensive Spanish gesture after Alaves' leveller. Lucas Perez made it 1-1 from the spot and in the celebration, the Alaves player taunted his opponent.

Sergio Ramos complained to Cuadra Fernandez about Aleix Vidal's gesture. The Real Madrid captain thought it was an offensive gesture, but some say the taunting and gesture could have been aimed at the stands despite Alaves being at home.

Aleix Vidal explained afterwards that the taunting and gesture were aimed at the opponent. "It wasn't at the stands. We are being supported a lot. I have done it subconsciously because of the excitement of the goal. It wasn't deliberate

Vidal could have been sent off had it deemed an offensive gesture while even a booking for taunting would have seen him dismissed for a second yellow.
