Al Sadd confirmed on Tuesday through an official statement that Marco Fabián will not remain at the team. The Mexican only played 4 matches this season.
Arriving from Philadelphia Union, the ex-Chivas Guadalajara and Eintracht Frankfurt player signed for Al Sadd for half a season.
His contract at the Qatari club ends on 30th June and the board, dissatisfied with the player's performance, have decided not to offer him a contract renewal.
