Ajax won't own stadium until 2028
The Johan Cruyff Arena won't be under Ajax football club's ownership until 2028, according to information released by 'Ajax Life'.
The aforementioned source states that the Dutch club only holds 13% of the shares in the stadium and it will be the city, through its council, that sells it at least 23%.
Today, Amsterdam holds 48% and 39% goes to shareholders or private companies, in addition to the aforementioned 13% that belongs to Ajax.
The intention for the city to sell 23% to the club was decided in 2017, when after Johan Cruyff's death it was agreed to change the name of the then Amsterdam Arena
