Ajax could not have dreamed of a better start to their Champions League semi-final against Tottenham in London.
The Dutch side stunned Spurs early on as they raced into a 1-0 lead in just the 15th minute.
Midfielder Hakim Ziyech slid an inch-perfect pass through the Spurs defence, which midfielder van de Beek latched on to before coolly slotting the ball past Hugo Lloris into the bottom left corner.
However, van de Beek looked extremely close to being offside as he pulled away from Tottenham's defence. Nevertheless, after a VAR review the strike was given and Ajax were awarded a precious away goal.
