Aitor Cantalapiedra, one step from Panathinaikos
Aitor Cantalapiedra, Barcelona youth academy graduate, seems destined to continue his career in Greece. His agent has confirmed that there is an agreement with Panathinaikos.
At 24 years old, Aitor Cantalapiedra is one of many youth academy graduates to come out of La Masia whose career had to continue far away from Barca. Now it seems that he is going to try his fortune at one of the big teams in Greece.
According to his agent, Albert Botines, who is quoted in the newspaper 'AS', the agreement with Panathinaikos is reportedly about to be made official. It would be for 3 seasons, earning 400,000 euros a year.
He had offers from various clubs in Turkey, such as Besiktas and Istanbul Basaksehir, but they seem to have opted for Panathinaikos, after playing the last 2 seasons at Twente.
