According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City have made initial enquiries into the conditions of a potential deal for Wolverhampton Wanderers left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri.

The 23-year-old, who has impressed with his consistency and versatility in the Premier League, is one of Manchester City's top targets as they look to strengthen their defence for the 2025 summer transfer window.

Ait-Nouri, who has represented Algeria internationally despite being born in France, has established himself as a key figure at Wolves since joining on loan in 2020. With over 100 appearances to his name, he is highly valued by his club, with a potential price tag of around £45 million.

City's interest comes as Pep Guardiola seeks to address potential gaps in his back line, particularly with Kyle Walker's future uncertain.

While the club are also monitoring AC Milan's Theo Hernandez, Ait-Nouri's proven Premier League pedigree makes him an appealing option for the left-back role.
