Aguero reportedly has formal offer from Barca
Sergio Aguero could head to the Camp Nou this summer. According to 'TyCSports', Barca have not wasted any time and they had now put in a formal offer for the player. They want him for the 2021-22 season.
Joan Laporta was elected as Barcelona president and he has always been clear who he wanted to sign first: Sergio Aguero.
The attacker's contract at Man City expires in June and Barcelona want to persuade him to move to the Catalan capital. 'TyCSports' reports that Barca have made a move and put in an offer for him.
Signing Aguero would also be a way of trying to keep Lionel Messi. Both are friends and they could play together in attack, like they do for Argentina.
Aguero is reportedly willing to accept a pay cut to go to Barca, 'Mundo Deportivo' said recently. The only thing he has reportedly asked for is a bonus for his signing, which would be a free transfer.
While City are waiting for news, Guardiola spoke about the attacker's future. "The club will talk to his agent about the situation. We'll do that at the end of the season. I don't know what is going to happen. What will happen next season or which players will be here are not on my mind right now. I'm concentrating on the matches and I don't want distractions."
So it seems clear that Man City's plan is to get to the end of the season and then talk at length with Sergio Aguero in June. It may well be that the Argentine has already agreed to move to Barca by then.
