For all he knows where the back of the net is himself, Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero showed that he is also a capable provider as he laid one on a plate for Raheem Sterling to put the champions three goals to the good against Fulham at the Etihad on Saturday.

Pep Guardiola's side were already enjoying the better of an open and entertaining game, with Leroy Sane and David Silva giving them a two-goal lead at the break.

As the old adage goes: '2-0 is a dangerous scoreline' and City made sure that they added to their lead within three minutes of the restart.

Aguero gathered a pass out on the right wing and drove beyond his man and to the byline.

The Argentine then had the presence of mind to drill the ball across the face of goal and between goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli and defender Denis Odoi, with Sterling perfectly positioned to tap home at the far post.
