Mike Maignan has been faced with a one-match suspension plus a € 15,000 fine for insulting the referee in the tunnel in the aftermath of AC Milan's 2-1 defeat to Lazio on Sunday. As a result, the French goalkeeper will be ruled out for the upcoming visit to Lecce in Serie A.

The gloomy period continues for AC Milan after their bid to qualify for the Champions League spots was held back by a third consecutive defeat in Serie A.

And to make things worse, the 'Rossoneri' will be without their first-choice goalkeeper Mike Maignan for the upcoming visit to Lecce on Saturday due to suspension.

The Frenchman has been hit with a one-match ban for insulting the referee in the tunnel in the aftermath of AC Milan's 2-1 defeat to Lazio at the weekend.

The 29-year-old shot-stopper has also been handed a € 15,000 fine. In Maignan's absence, Milan boss Conceicao is set to deploy Sportiello in goal against Lecce.
