According to 'Tuttosport', AC Milan have considered the possibility of renewing Alessio Romagnoli's contract because of Juventus' interest in him. The 'Old Lady' have apparently seen the 24 year-old centre back as the perfect replacement for Andrea Barzagli, who announced his retirement.

Obsessed with winning the treble after signing Cristiano Ronaldo last summer, Juventus won the Serie A once again, but they did not do so well in the Coppa Italia or in the Champions League. They were knocked out of Europe by Ajax

After confirming Allegri's departure this summer, the Turin side are now looking to bring in reinforcements ahead of next season.

The retirement of Andrea Barzagli has created a gap in the Juve back line. The club seem to have set their eyes on Romagnoli, a 24 year-old central defender for AC Milan.

Nevertheless, according to 'Tuttosport'. the Rossoneri are not willing to let one of their key players leave so they are preparing to offer the footballer a new contract
