Real Madrid will open the second week of the Champions League as they host Club Brugges. After a painful, 3-0 defeat against PSG, Zidane's team will only want a victory here!
After the game in Paris, Real Madrid have improved their defence a lot, which places him as the main favourite to win at Santiago Bernabeu.
Another one of the great teams that lost during the first Champions League game and need a victory in the second, is current champions, Liverpool. Klopp's team succumbed to Napoli in San Paolo and need a victory against Salzburg.
Further down on the list of contenders for the title is Chelsea, but not with less urgency. The team led by Lampard lost to Valencia at home and must win against Lille to not be doomed to a terrible Champions League campaign.
Barcelona, Inter and Tottenham must sort themselves out after the first week. The three drew in their duels, although Barca did it with Borussia Dortmund and the other two against theoretically inferior rivals.
The Barcelona team play Inter Milan in what is probably one of the hardest groups in the Champions League this year, whilst Tottenham come up against Bayern Munich.
Atletico Madrid and Juventus also drew their game. They both had a great game at the Wanda Metropolitano, but neither could come away with the victory against Lokomotiv Moscow and Bayer Leverkusen, respectively.
Expected returns
The first day of the Champions League saw several players miss out, but there were three most important ones and all in the same game! At Parc des Princes, Mbappe, Neymar and Sergio Ramos were all absent.
Of the three players only one will not be able to play this week in the Champions League. This is Neymar, who will sit out of the match against Club Brugge due to his sanction.
Sergio Ramos may be set to make an appearance for Madrid. The Real Madrid defender was sanctioned after acknowledging that he forced a yellow against Ajax last season. The white team missed him in Paris, where they ended up losing 3-0
Kylian Mbappe was also out injured in this game. The French defender returned in PSG's last game to assist Neymar's goal. Tuchel already confirmed that he will not play the full 90 minutes, but he could play some against Galatasaray.
