Alli scored a quick-fire brace to help Spurs to three points

The game was finely poised moving into the second half after Christian Eriksen's stunner cancelled out Alvaro Morata's opener.

Just after the hour mark, Alli took centre stage, latching onto a long ball from close friend Eric Dier to take a touch and lift the ball over the head of Willy Caballero to give Spurs the lead.

Before Chelsea had time to react, that lead was doubled. Son did the hard work this time, getting in behind his man down the right and driving for goal and whilst he was twice denied by Caballero, the loose ball dropped nicely for Alli roll into the unguarded net through a crowd from six yards.

Alli's return to form is good news for both England and Spurs, with everyone keen to see him recover the sort of performance level that saw him plunder 18 Premier League goals last season from midfield.

The brace takes Alli to eight goals and ten assists in 30 Premier League games so far this season and it was made all the more special as it came on his 100th appearance in the English top flight.
