Javier Aguirre, one of the most experienced Mexican managers and with the biggest international trajectory, became the new Monterrey manager on Monday 7th December.
The exit of Antonio Mohamed from Monterrey has left a big hole on the bench, and Aguirre will try to occupy it the best way possible on the return to his homeland.
Aguirre has dedicated his whole life to the beautiful game. During his playing career, he had spells in Mexico and Spain, while also managing Atlante, Pachuca, Mexico, Osasuna, Atlético Madrid, Zaragoza, Espanyol, Japan, Al-Wahda and Egypt. He returned to Spain last year to manage Leganés but couldn't keep them in La Liga.
