Atlético terminated the contract of Diego Costa and Simeone is about to receive a new player. Moussa Dembélé's desire is one signature away from becoming a reality and the Argentinean coach will set himself another challenge, that of returning the striker to the level he has already demonstrated in previous seasons.
Atlético were left with a vacancy in attack after the exit of Costa and are going to fill it with Moussa Dembélé. According to what the newspaper 'AS' has been able to learn and report, the deal is now complete.
The Frenchman reportedly has scheduled to arrive in Madrid on Monday, as long as there are no problems because of storm Filomena. Dembélé will sit the medical and would then sign his new contract.
Atlético and Lyon have already reportedly agreed a loan with a non-obligatory option to buy of 35 million euros for the end of the season.
Juninho Pernambucano, ex-player and current sporting director of Lyon, already admitted that the French club were and are negotiating the exit of Moussa Dembélé.
"His exit in this winter market is a real possibility. Moussa came to see me, he thinks it's time to change team, he has lost a little motivation", he assured in 'Téléfoot'.
With just 6 matches and one goal so far this season, Moussa Dembélé will be Simeone's new weapon in attack.
