Advisor to Laporta slams decision not to send Asensio off

In the Barcelona versus Atletico Madrid game, Barcelona not only got a big win, but also had Dani Alves banned for two matches. That came after Carrasco's ankle was stepped on and the Brazilian saw red. The Spanish FA's appeals committee rejected the appeal and he was banned. According to Joan Laporta's advisor, there was a similar incident in the Villarreal v Real Madrid match.
He is Enric Masip, who, on his Twitter account, complained that Marco Asensio only saw a yellow card after Iborra's ankle was stepped on when he tried to beat him with a roulette. The Spaniard had his his back to his own foot so he could not see properly where to put it.
"The other day, red card for Dani Alves after a VAR review. Accidentally, Asensio makes a challenge which is more dangerous in Villarreal, and the VAR did not interview. There should be unified criteria so that there is no doubt or suspicion," Enric Masip said on social media.
With these comments, Laporta's sporting advisor caused a stir on Twitter with Barcelona and Real Madrid fans commenting on it. Real Madrid supporters says that it was completely accidental whereas Alves knew exactly what he was doing.
