A "beautiful and exciting" debut for Gragera

Espanyol midfielder Jose Gragera, a new signing in the winter transfer window from Sporting Gijón, said that his debut for the 'Pericos', and at the same time his debut in La Liga, against Osasuna (1-1) was "very nice and exciting".

The player recently signed until 30th June 2026 and played 30 minutes against Osasuna to freshen up the team, who played a hard-fought match. In statements to the club's media, the Asturian highlighted that both the stadium and the 'Pericos' fans were spectacular.

Gragera also thanked the rest of the dressing room for their treatment in what has been an important milestone in his professional career: "The teammates have congratulated me and given me the support you need when you have to make your debut".

In any case, the midfielder was not satisfied with the draw against Osasuna. "We leave a little bit disappointed. In the end we had to row in the second half and we managed to score. It's a shame we couldn't get the win, but I'm happy with the work the whole team has done," he reflected.
