Ronaldo has been officially named the Ballon d'Or, if reports by Spanish football daily 'Mundo Deportivo' are anything to go by.
According to Spanish football journalist Francesc Aguilar, 'France Football', the founders of the award, will travel to Madrid on Thursday to conduct an interview with the Real Madrid and Portugal star to talk about his Ballon d'Or success.
Ronaldo is set to be announced as winner of the award on Monday, the day when the interview will be published.
The Portuguese forward has beaten off competition from the likes of Lionel Messi, Antoine Griezmann, Luis Suarez and team-mate Gareth Bale.
The 31-year-old won the Champions League with his club Real Madrid and Euro 2016 with Portugal last season, scoring 51 goals in all competitions (club only).
The former Manchester United and Sporting Lisbon man has played 16 games in the current campaign, scoring on 12 occasions.
