According to reports in Asia, Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG have signed Zenit forward Hulk.
The reported deal is worth a staggering €55 million - an Asian transfer record, and claims that the forward will be heading to Shanghai tomorrow morning.
The Brazil international, who really made a name for himself at Porto prior to his move to Russia, has scored 238 goals in his 427 career appearances.
This would be the latest high profile signing from China, following the likes of Gervinho, Ramires, Alex Teixeira and Jackson Martinez, who have all moved to the CSL.
One key impetus is football-loving President Xi Jinping's ambition to turn China into a world soccer power, with successful clubs and a winning national team.
Earlier this year, Chinese Super League clubs indulged in a world-leading 331 million euros ($365 million) binge on players, breaking the Asian transfer record four times in quick succession.
