A disappointing display from the Blues once again raised the same question, especially after Conte was forced to introduce youngsters Kyle Scott, Charly Musonda Jr and Jeremie Boga.
Chelsea have completed the deals of four new recruits this summer, with a total spendage of £150 million: Morata, Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Willy Caballero.
However, Conte wants further reinforcements, as he has made clear in the past. Following his team's defeat at Wembley, the Italian provided a frosty answer to a question he has been forced to answer time and time again.
'I have always replied to this question. I hope in the future to have different questions, than if there is necessity to improve our squad', he said.
'I have replied. My reply is always (this) one, otherwise it means I was telling you a lie. I repeat always the same', Conte added.
It remains to be seen if Chelsea will add new faces to their squad, which currently includes only 17 first-team players.
