Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale has revealed the team is excited and believe they can beat Atletico Madrid in the Champions League final on Saturday.
Statistics wise, you would probably have to favour Atletico, seeing as Real have only won one of 10 games against city rivals Atletico since beating them in the Champions League final back in 2014. Furthermore, one of the two defeats Zidane has suffered since taking over at Madrid came at the hand of Simeone's Atletico.
However, Bale has revealed that the general feeling in the Real dressing room is positive, and he believes that they are good enough both in attack and defence to win the title.
"We know they've got a very good defensive record and they play very well in the defence. But we have to be patient, we have to pick our moments and when we do create the chances we need to take them," he said.
"Everyone is feeling excited, happy and looking forward to a final and in a way [we] just can't wait to get there and get it started. Every final is massive for us, especially the Champions League final.
"We know we can do it, and now we've just got to go out and prove that we can. So confidence is high and we know it's going to be a very difficult game."
